What is Organic Greens made of?
Organic Greens is formulated with 14 powdered USDA certified organic superfoods. We also add a touch of stevia extract and monk fruit extract for a lightly sweet flavor.
Can my child use Organic Greens?
Because Organic Greens contains adaptogenic herbs like maca and ashwagandha root extract, as well as turmeric root and ginger root for immune support, we recommend checking with your child’s healthcare provider before supplementing with Organic Greens.
What time of day should I take Organic Greens?
Organic Greens is perfect at any time of the day. Dr. Myers likes it in her morning smoothies, but others say they enjoy it at all times of the day. You’ll find that it’s great around the clock!
Is Organic Greens okay to use while pregnant or nursing?
Because Organic Greens contains adaptogenic herbs like maca and ashwagandha root extract, as well as turmeric root and ginger root for immune support, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider before supplementing with Organic Greens.
Is Organic Greens okay to use in hot beverages or cooking?
Yes! While very high heat will damage some of the nutrients, enzymes, and phytochemicals, most of the nutritional benefits will remain intact due to the special drying and steaming the organic plant foods undergo before processing.
Is Organic Greens AIP approved?
Organic Greens contains small amounts of two ingredients derived from sunflower and ashwagandha, neither of which are technically AIP approved foods. However, the derived ingredients (lecithin, a fatty component of sunflower oil and withanolides, a steroid-like phytochemical found in ashwagandha root) are only specific extracts (they do not contain the whole food or herb), and are specially processed to remove the offending alkaloids and inflammatory proteins usually found in them. This means that most people following an AIP diet will tolerate Organic Greens extremely well! If you have a diagnosed allergy to any ingredient in my Organic Greens formula, please speak to your allergist or doctor before using the product.
How come there are fewer scoops in my pouch than the number listed on the label?
The listed amount of scoops per pouch is an approximation and can vary based on personal use such as how full you make your scoops, spilling it, how well you scrape out the pouch, etc. While the number listed is an approximation, it shouldn't vary considerably versus what you get.
