20 Mitopure Customers Bought Two Bottles. We Investigated What Real Users Experience

Urolithin A capsules with pomegranate seeds representing Mitopure user experiences and research

At Nutriessentail, we are observing a new trend in Mitopure. We observed 20 customers purchasing two bottles of Mitopure in the same order.

Our 20 global customers. This is interesting. We wanted to dig deeper to find out whether it's their preference or whether it tells us something about how people are using this Urolithin A supplement.

What our data shows

  • 20 customers purchased two bottles together.

  • We don't know whether they experienced benefits.

  • We don't know whether they were repeat users.

  • We don't know whether one bottle was for someone else.

What's the story?

Middle-aged adults took Urolithin A (Mitopure) at two doses for 4 months, and their muscle strength improved by 12%. These are findings of a PubMed study.

Dr Singh and colleagues said, “The data show significant improvements in muscle strength (∼12%) with intake of Urolithin A. We observe clinically meaningful improvements with Urolithin A on aerobic endurance (peak oxygen consumption [VO2]) and physical performance (6 min walk test) but do not notice a significant improvement on peak power output (primary endpoint). Levels of plasma acylcarnitines and C-reactive proteins are significantly lower with Urolithin A, indicating higher mitochondrial efficiency and reduced inflammation. We also examined expression of proteins linked to mitophagy and mitochondrial metabolism in skeletal muscle and found a significant increase with Urolithin A administration. This study highlights the benefit of Urolithin A to improve muscle performance.”

Does it happen in real-world or experience varies?

While we were reviewing our order data to find out specific patterns, our data analyst noticed an interesting pattern. They said, “Our 20 customers purchased two bottles in the same order.”

These details cannot tell us about the experienced benefit, whether it's a continuation of an existing plan to use Mitopure for longer, or they are buying for someone else or simply maintaining a Mitopure stock on their supplement shelf.

But definitely, we had a question.

How does the purchasing behaviour of our customers match with the Mitopure experience by other users?

We then researched real customer experiences with Mitopure.

Note: A randomised clinical trial finding is fundamentally different from an anecdotal customer report.

What evidence did we collect?

In this section, we have enumerated and summarised the community forum discussion, which included reviews and personal experiences of taking Mitopure for months.

Part 1: Community discussions

Has anyone tried Mitopure by Timeline Nutrition?

A person initiated a discussion on Mitopure, saying, “I haven’t, but I feel like you could probably get a decent amount of the precursor to Urolithin A (ellagic acid) from pomegranate. Mitopure is extremely expensive for a supplement.” This person is worried about the cost of the Mitopure supplement. This is why he looked for the experience of someone who used the supplement.

Many discussions added a lot of information to this question, but we picked the most relevant. One person replied, “I tried it for a couple of months, and it didn't appear to make a difference, but it is really impossible to tell for sure because I naturally have ups and downs. Maybe it prevented a crash that I otherwise would have had? I ran out of the stuff I got free, and I'm not buying more.”

Part 2: Long-term users

Mitopure for 18 months and no results

This person had been taking Urolithin A (Mitopure) from Timeline Nutrition for about 18 months.

He says, “ I saw no noticeable benefits or improvements in terms of cardio performance or strength, or anything else. I have stopped taking it for the past 3 months and also saw no change. I still have 6 months' supply left, which I will try again in a couple of months. I am in my late 40s, and I exercise regularly (combination of medium intensity strength training, cardio, and HIIT).”

This person bought the supplement in bulk. He later experienced that it didn't work for him. Because of his negative experience with Mitopure, he said, “Given how expensive Mitopure is and it was only as good as adding some flavor to my drink with no other benefits, I suggest that most people skip Mitopure and try the '12-3-30' treadmill workout instead. If done 2-3 times/week is likely to do much more for your mitochondrial health than the Urolithin A.”

Journey of a post-menopausal woman with Mitopure

Another woman says, “I began taking Mitopure, at two a day, about three months ago. I was having what I thought were menopause symptoms of brain fog and loss of muscle mass. I can literally see the difference in my quadriceps, and I think my brain fog is improving, too. I would research Dr Singh's work on PubMed further since I'm just one person on the Internet.  Not to be flippant about your comment. Have you tried Mitopure? From all the articles I have read, there are no negative effects, so give it a few months yourself and see what you think. It also helps the recovery time of my weight training days.”

Pleasant real experience with Timeline Mitopure

One customer, while sharing a real experience with Timeline Mitopure Urolithin A says, “I have read some of the scientific papers studying Urolithin A, and have been using the product from Timeline Nutrition for 2+ years. Timeline is a very credible, science-based company based in Switzerland that has been developing their Urolithin A products for 15+ years. There are over 300 scientific papers, and they support Urolithin A for mitochondrial health, muscle endurance and muscle strength. As with any supplement (particularly if you take multiple supplements), it is hard to exactly pinpoint the benefits received. I do get my mitochondrial health tested annually, and it has significantly improved since starting Timeline. But is it due to Urolithin A or other lifestyle factors - I truly don’t know. But I remain a customer and continue with Timeline on a daily basis.”

ositive and negative user experiences reported after using Mitopure

Part 3: Cost discussions

Mitopure cost is the biggest concern

We saw many reviews where consumers have frequently mentioned concerns about Mitopure. It's expensive. What's interesting is people have suggestions for them.

One person said, “There is someone that uses Urolithin A? I want to take it, but the only Urolithin A in the market that I find is “mitopure” and for me is very expensive. Do you buy it?”

Another person replied, "Urolithins are not found in food; however, their precursor polyphenols are. Like you, I find Mitopure too expensive, so I'm using a 'basic' pomegranate extract.”

Part 4: Research discussions

A journey that started with knowledge

The other day, I was listening to this podcast and ended up going down a rabbit hole during some free time. I checked out a bunch of human studies and got really convinced that I wanted to give it a shot. I just found a video about it and figured I’d share it with you all to see what you think. I bought this stuff and have only been taking it for less than a week, but I plan to wait a couple of months and then report back to see if anything major changes. Just so you know, I’m 50.

Other reviews:

One person in community discussions said, “I am taking 500 mg of Mitopure, and I am feeling less brain fogginess, better muscle gain, and I feel rested after sleeping. I have read all the NIH studies; you might do that, too, and I am going to keep with this brand even though it's pricey. It's worth it, and cheaper than some meds.”

We found an interview with Timeline's Chief Medical Officer

We found an expert’s interview where he was asked a question: What should people expect to feel or see from using Mitopure® for an extended period of time?

The officer replied that what their customers are saying matched with what they found in theirgold-standard, placebo-controlled, randomised clinical studies. Using Mitopure® consistently over an extended period can provide several noticeable benefits, the officer adds.

According to Timeline Nutrition's Chief Medical Officer, the company expects different changes to become noticeable over several months of consistent Mitopure use, based on its interpretation of customer feedback and clinical research.

  • In the first 30 days, cellular health improves. Faulty mitochondria are replaced by healthier, more energy-producing mitochondria.

  • When used regularly for 2-3 months, endurance improves. At this stage, users are likely to notice elevated energy levels. They also feel less tired after exercise.

  • In 4 months, muscle strength improves further.

Why do experiences differ?

Clinical research has investigated the potential effects of Urolithin A on measures of muscle function, exercise performance, and mitochondrial health.

But when we see real user reviews, we find both positive and negative reviews.

Some of the possible reasons could be:

  • Clinical trials measure average outcomes across groups.

  • Individual expectations differ.

  • Exercise habits differ.

  • Age differs.

  • Duration of use differs.

  • People notice subjective changes differently.

Public customer experience gave us content: Nutriessential team

Our 20 customer purchasing observations gave us the initial question; then we researched further. - Nutriessential team.

People are willing to invest in Mitopure beyond a single pack. But the reasons behind this behaviour and the experience people ultimately report are not necessarily the same.

We got many interesting findings after reading multiple reviews. What we found is:

  • Some describe improvement in exercise.

  • Some did a lot of research on Mitopure and discussed clinical research.

  • Some used it for months.

  • Some reported no improvement.

  • Some stopped using it because of no change.

How did we prepare this article?

  • We observed 20 customers purchasing two bottles of Mitopure Urolithin A together.

  • We compared that with public users reporting both positive and negative experiences

  • We interpreted why subjective experience may vary from clinical outcomes

  • We told readers that our data cannot prove.

Nutriessential Team statement about combining customer experience, scientific evidence, and uncertainty

Final takeaway

We compared our customer observations with public user experiences and found many insights. But Mitopure isn't a product where you can capture the entire story with a five-star review or postivie/negative experiences. In our research, we found real-world users report both noticeable benefits and no changes. Experience remains mixed.

Our data from 20 customers only shows that some people choose to purchase two bottles. But it doesn't prove that this works for everyone.  This type of observation could only provide a picture of Mitopure, which remains scientifically interesting, a popular urolithin A supplement and whose real-world experience varies among people of different ages.

If you are choosing Mitopure, ask yourself four questions:

  1. Do you know the health benefits of Urolithin A?

  2. Does the science support the ingredient?

  3. Does this product fit your goals?

  4. Are you willing to give long-term intervention enough time for you to notice the changes and support other people's decisions by sharing your real experience in community forums?
