Genikinoko contains GCP or Genistein Combined Polysaccharide, which is a unique compound rich in soy isoflavone aglycones. It provides highly bioavailable genistein and mushroom polysaccharides. GCP is made through a patented process which includes the fermentation of soybean isoflavone extracts with basidiomycetes mushrooms. On fermentation, these mushrooms produce glucosidase enzyme that has the unique ability to convert isoflavone glycosides into genistein aglycones, significantly increasing the intestinal absorption of genistein.

Fermenting the isoflavones increases their numbers and also converts them into a highly absorbable form. GCP is absorbed from the small intestine and is taken up by the liver, where genistein in aglycone form enters circulation and supports prostate health.
