According to a 2025 article published in the npj | Aging journal examined a specific collagen-derived amino acid composition in preclinical models and in an observational human study. The researchers reported findings related to collagen homeostasis and biological age. They also noted limitations of the human study, including its open-label, single-arm, and observational design. Further randomized, placebo-controlled studies were identified as necessary.

Metagenics Collagenics provides amino acids like proline, cystine, lysine, and taurine. In addition, it contains iron as iron glycinate and magnesium as magnesium bisglycinate.

This supplement contains multiple nutrients including vitamin B6, C, Pantothenic Acid, zinc, copper, and manganese. If you are already taking a multivitamin supplement, consult with a healthcare professional before including another multi-ingredient supplement in your routine.
