Thorne offers an amino acid supplement that helps increase serotonin levels to help regulate sleep and stress response.

  1. Our body can produce serotonin with the help of L-tryptophan and & 5-HTP as they are both its precursors.
  2. However, it is preferable to take 5-HTP supplementation because L-tryptophan can be used for niacin or protein production by the body.
  3. This formula contains pyridoxal 5'-phosphate which is an active form of vitamin B6 and is important for the conversion of 5-HTP to serotonin.
